1/14/25 Houston Astros Must Address This One Glaring Weakness Before Season. The Houston Astros have been the gold standard in baseball for nearly the last decade. Last season was the seventh time in the last eight years that they won the American League West, but it could very well have been the end of their dynasty as we know it. In the past, they had the pieces in place to replace George Springer and Carlos Correa, who both departed in free agency. This time, it is third baseman Alex Bregman who is a free agent and likely moving on and right fielder Kyle Tucker who was traded to the Chicago Cubs.

11/29/24 Another AL Team Is Reportedly Interested in Houston Astros Star Free Agent. The Houston Astros have been arguably the most successful franchise in baseball over the better part of the last decade, making seven consecutive ALCS appearances, four World Series appearances, and winning two championships. It's been seen countless times with this franchise, as guys like George Springer, Carlos Correa, and Gerrit Cole went elsewhere. 9/28/24 Blue Jays' Springer opens up on 2024 struggles: "I fell short". Like many Toronto Blue Jays, the 2024 season was one to forget about for George Springer. The veteran outfielder, who is in his fourth season with the Blue Jays, has struggled immensely in 2024, hitting just .220 with 19 home runs and 56 RBIs through 144 games. “I think I fell short of every expectation I set on myself individually,” Springer told Blue Jays reporter Hazel Mae. This season has been an outright disaster for the Blue Jays, who, with two games remaining, sit dead last in the AL East with a 74-86 record.

9/24/24 As Blue Jays bottom out, can aging George Springer be counted on to be part of the solution?. With nothing left to play for and last place in the American League East locked up for the first time since 2013, it is a sobering final home stand for the Blue Jays.
