5/03/24 Blue Jays let MLB's worst pitcher off the hook and lose Nationals series opener. Corbin came into the game with an ugly 6.82 ERA, having been arguably the worst pitcher in the major leagues for the last four years, and the soft-tossing lefty lived down to the advance billing early. A couple of batters later, George Springer's sacrifice fly to left scored Varsho and the Jays had a 3-0 lead.

The Blue Jays got the scoring started in the top of the third when George Springer hit a solo home run, but the Rays answered in the bottom of the third when Brandon Lowe hit a grand slam. Randy Arozarena drove in a run in the fifth, Jose Caballero drove in another in the sixth, and Yandy Diaz drove in two in the eighth as the Rays pulled away in this game.
