Justin Herbert (QB - LAC)

7/1/25 3:16 PM -
Is Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh overrated?. Very few NFL coaches receive as much public recognition as Jim Harbaugh, who took the Los Angeles Chargers' job in his return to the professional level last year. Immediately upon adding Harbaugh, the Chargers were viewed as a potential sleeper in the AFC, and they delivered by winning 11 games and making the playoffs while playing a smashmouth brand of football. Los Angeles was bounced in the Wild Card Round, but armed with significant cap space and one of the league's best pure passers in Justin Herbert, the offseason seemed very promising in LA.

Major Outlet Names Bengals' Top 2025 Rookie of the Year Candidates. CINCINNATI — The team at Pro Football Network put together top Rookie of the Year candidates for all 32 NFL teams recently and two dark-horse names emerged for Cincinnati: Demetrius Knight Jr. on defense and Tahj Brooks on offense. Knight figures to have more than enough snaps to bring potential strong play into the mix at linebacker. "The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Shemar Stewart in Round 1, and his freakish athleticism gives him a very high ceiling as an edge rusher," the site stated . "Given his more raw skillset, though, the team's top DROY contender might be someone else. Demetrius Knight Jr. put together a strong campaign in 2024, notching 82 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, and two sacks

Josh Allen 'very excited' as Bills continue training camp tradition in Pittsford. It's an annual summertime ritual that not many NFL teams continue to practice. The Buffalo Bills are one of a remaining few franchises that still leave town for training camp (at least a portion of it). The Pittsburgh Steelers, who use Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and the Dallas Cowboys, who operate remotely in Oxnard, CA, are the two other notable organizations that follow the traditional training camp approach.

Ravens' Lamar Jackson Reveals Biggest Flaw. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is arguably the best and most electrifying players in the NFL today, dazzling with both his arm and legs en route to two MVP awards and three first-team All-Pro selections. During an appearance on Kevin Hart's "Cold as Balls" podcast, Jackson was asked what he feels the toughest part of playing in the NFL is, and he swiftly answered. "Just being a leader," Jackson said. Jackson, 28, is clearly an effective leader, otherwise the Ravens wouldn't have made him a captain.

Alexander Mattison (RB - LV)

7/1/25 12:02 PM -
Why Mattison Could Become Key Under-the-Radar Pick-Up. Alexander Mattison's one-year, $1.3 million deal ranks among Miami's cheapest offseason moves, yet the seventh-year back may help solve one of the offense's biggest flaws: short-yardage inconsistency. While the offense as a whole regressed last season, dropping from second to 23rd in yards per play, short-yardage struggles have been a steady issue under Mike McDaniel. At 5-11 and 220 pounds, Mattison brings a more physical profile than any back Miami rostered in 2024. Mattison, a 2019 third-round pick by the Vikings, has topped 130 rushing attempts in three of the past four seasons, including last year with the Raiders.

Ravens Named Losers in Steelers' Blockbuster Trade. The Baltimore Ravens have won the AFC North for the past two years and are looking to become the first team to ever win the division three years in a row this fall. Naturally, their division rivals want to stop that from happening, and on Monday, one of those rivals showed just how much stopping Baltimore means to them. The Pittsburgh Steelers took the NFL world by storm on Monday, acquiring seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith from the Miami Dolphins while trading away safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. NFL analyst concerned Bills' defensive upgrades will yield 'mediocre' results. The Buffalo Bills are hoping to have a better defense in the 2025 campaign, which is evidenced by the team's numerous additions both in free agency and the draft this offseason. Bleacher Report writer Alex Ballentine expressed concern over the effectiveness of the team's newest additions on defense. It's a bit poetic that they've brought back Tre'Davious White as a backup plan at cornerback. Insider Makes Strong Claim on Houston Texans' Offensive Line. The Houston Texans did some significant work to their offensive line over the past few months of what was a busy offseason for this franchise, giving this group of protection a breath of fresh air heading into a big 2025 season. If those changes don't result in the type of positive turnout this front office expects, it could get ugly for C.J. Stroud and this scoring attack. Simply, the offensive line is a major factor for the Texans' ceiling and floor for next season, and in the eyes of Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, it could be the most important position group for a team's individual success across the NFL.

PFF conducted a re-do of the 2014 NFL Draft, with one catch - their rankings were determined by the PFF grades that each prospect accumulated across their careers in the league, the publication's own way of quantifying how effective different football players are at playing their position and making them easy to compare through use of a 0-100 scale.
