4/21/24 Kimbrel save ball retrieved from Kauffman Stadium fountain. Baltimore left fielder Colton Cowser had to retrieve the ball from the final out of a 9-7 win at Kansas City. The 24-year-old threw the ball into the Kauffman Stadium fountains. About two minutes later, he realized that ball might be significant and ran back onto the field. Craig Kimbrel had gotten his 422nd save, tying Billy Wagner for seventh on the career list. Cowser says: “There were two balls in the fountains and the other one was really old,” Baltimore manager Brandon Hyde adds: “We’ve got to have a little more awareness out in left field when you catch that."
