May 30 - The Toronto Blue Jays placed outfielder Anthony Santander on the injured list with left shoulder inflammation and recalled outfielder Alan Roden from Triple-A Buffalo. A key free-agent acquisition in the offseason, Santander has instead struggled to a .179 batting average, six home runs and 18 RBIs in 50 games. His .577 OPS is his lowest in the past seven seasons. Santander, 30, is a career .242 hitter with 161 home runs and 453 RBIs in 796 games for the Baltimore Orioles (2017-24). An All-Star for the first time last season, he has a career .764 OPS.
