The Brewers announced Monday that Haase had been sent outright to Nashville. The 31-year-old Haase was designated for assignment Thursday. Although Haase batted .395 with a .465 on-base percentage, five homers and 14 RBIs in 18 Cactus League games, he was unable to make the Brewers' season-opening roster. Eric Haase's productive spring wasn't enough for the Michigan native to land a spot on the Milwaukee Brewers' Opening Day roster. Despite a strong showing, the former Detroit Tigers catcher was designated for assignment on Thursday, per the MLB Trade Rumors. Haase signed a one-year contract with the Brewers in December and batted .395 with five home runs and three doubles in 43 plate appearances. Prior to his stint with Milwaukee, Haase played for the Tigers from 2020-2023, with one of his highlights being the catcher during Spencer Turnbull's no-hitter game in 2021, in addition to being named Rookie of the Month for July of that same season. | 3/20/24 | Brewers win 5th straight. The Milwaukee Brewers fell behind early but used home runs to power past the Cleveland Guardians 8-5 in Cactus League action Tuesday for a fifth straight win. Eric Haase, Sal Frelick and Willy Adames all left the yard, Adames hit his second home run in as many days, a two run shot that tied the game at 5 in the 5th inning. Starter Colin Rea struggled on the mound, giving up five runs on nine hits in four and two thirds innings. The Brewers are now 12-13 in Arizona and have an off day Wednesday before taking on the San Francisco Giants on Thursday.
