2/13/25 | Patriots Projected to Fix Glaring Hole With Pro Bowler. The New England Patriots desperately need to repair their offensive line this offseason if they want any chance for Drake Maye to experience long-term success. The Patriots' offensive line may very well have been the worst unit in the NFL in 2024, so they absolutely must find a fix in the coming months. Luckily, New England has loads of cap room to make some additions, and Cory Woodroof of USA Today is predicting the Pats to land one of the best offensive tackles on the free-agent market: Baltimore Ravens star Ronnie Stanley. 2/12/25 | Kurt Warner details one area where McDaniels can help Maye immensely. Ask any NFL analyst or former player to assess Drake Maye's rookie season, and most will tell you the New England Patriots quarterback exceeded their expectations. Despite playing with a patchwork offensive line and one of the NFL's worst wide receiver groups, Maye still threw for 2,276 yards with 15 touchdown passes in 13 games, while also adding 421 rushing yards and two TDs on the ground. Considering he entered the year as one of the youngest and least polished QBs atop the 2024 NFL Draft class -- which included Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix -- Maye made remarkable progress in a relatively short time period. "I was so impressed with Drake," Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner told host Phil Perry on the latest Next Pats Podcast. Source: https://www.nbcboston.com/news/sports/nfl/new-engl... |
2/12/25 | Patriots projected to trade for 42-TD versatile All-Pro receiver. With the Super Bowl played on Sunday, all 32 teams are now in offseason mode. This includes the New England Patriots, who have spent the last month filling out their new coaching staff led by Mike Vrabel. Now, New England is shifting to roster-building mode, as they hope to put together a group of guys who can accomplish much more than the 4-13 records they've finished with in back-to-back seasons. Part of that process will be surrounding 2024 first-round pick Drake Maye with a group of talented wide receivers, and with all of their cap space and high draft picks in each round, they should be able to take at least one big swing at the position. 2/11/25 | Patriots Star Reacts to Pro Bowl Snub. With a 4-13 regular season in the books for the New England Patriots , it's safe to assume this roster wasn't one to have a wide range of Pro Bowl talents on board. In the end, the Patriots had two Pro Bowl selections to hang their hat on –– special teamer Brendan Schooler and rookie Drake Maye, an injury replacement for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. Yet, there was one other player in the mix who had an appealing case to get those Pro Bowl honors who never got it: second-year cornerback Christian Gonzalez . Gonzalez finished his second season in the league with a healthy, dominant showing after an injury-riddled campaign derailed his rookie year –– proving to be one of the league's bright Source: https://www.wtnh.com/sports/sports-illustrated/are... |
2/11/25 | Patriots Predicted to Add Big-Time Weapon for Drake Maye. The New England Patriots will surely make it a priority to add some weapons for quarterback Drake Maye this offseason, and they will probably explore every avenue to make it happen. The Patriots are armed with expansive cap room, so they could make a big signing in free agency. Pro Football Network recently dropped its latest seven-round mock draft, and it has New England landing TCU Horned Frogs wide receiver Jack Bech in the fourth round.
