5/08/24 Cardinals aim to get back on track in Milwaukee. The St. Louis Cardinals will look for veteran right-hander Sonny Gray to continue his hot start when they open a four-game road series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Gray (4-1, 0.89 ERA) will be opposed by rookie right-hander Tobias Myers (0-2, 6.23 ERA) as Milwaukee returns home for a seven-game homestand. Gray's ERA through his first five starts with the club is the lowest by a Cardinal pitcher since 1910. Gray's only loss this season, however, came against the Brewers on April 21.

4/27/24 Mets vs. Cardinals prediction: MLB picks, odds, bets for Saturday. Commercial Content. 21+. Action Network is the official betting partner of the New York Post, which edits this content. After bolstering their pitching rotation following a last-place finish in the NL Central, the Cardinals find themselves back at the bottom amidst their weekend series against the New York Mets. Much of the futility can be blamed on an aging lineup that's struggling to put the ball in play, but the pitching staff has at least made steps in the right direction. Sonny Gray, who will face the Mets on Saturday afternoon. has begun his Cardinals tenure as an early blip on the NL Cy Young radar. 4/23/24 Cardinals' Lance Lynn sheds light on Sonny Gray's early dominance. On Sunday afternoon, Sonny Gray took the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals against the Milwaukee Brewers and did his best to snap his team's three-game slide. Gray, the Cardinals' prized offseason acquisition, gave a solid effort, including six scoreless innings to start his outing, but the two runs he allowed in the seventh were the difference as St. Louis was shutout.

4/21/24 Sunday's Game Report: Brewers 2, Cardinals 0. The way things are going for the Cardinals offense these days, Sonny Gray needed to be almost perfect on Sunday if he wanted to get another win. Gray allowed just two hits through six innings, finishing with 12 strikeouts, but saw the Brewers bunch three singles in a row with one out in the seventh to score twice, which was too big of a deficit for the offense to overcome. The loss was their season-high fourth in a row, their sixth in a row to the Brewers at Busch Stadium dating back to last year and left them 0-7 in the final game of a series to begin this season.
