6/24/25 | Marlins-Yankees Trade Features One Major Stumbling Block. The Miami Marlins seem rather likely to be very active between now and the MLB trade deadline, and the New York Yankees could represent a perfect trade partner for them. The Yankees could certainly use another pitcher, as Gerrit Cole is out for the season, Luis Gil has not thrown a pitch yet due to a lat strain and Ryan Yarbrough is now on the 15-day injured list. Zach Pressnell of FanSided thinks so, naming Miami ace Sandy Alcantara as a potential trade target for the Yankees in the wake of all of their injuries. 6/18/25 | Yankees could target $141 million Guardians All-Star to boost lineup. The New York Yankees are currently at the top of the American League East and have the second-best record in the Junior Circuit. Gerrit Cole is out for the season, and they have spent most of 2025 without Luis Gil and Giancarlo Stanton. Zachary D. Rymer of Bleacher Report proposed the idea of New York trading for Cleveland Guardians slugger Jose Ramirez. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/new-york-yanke... |
6/17/25 | Gerrit Cole believes 'best baseball's ahead of' Yankees despite five-game losing skid. Gerrit Cole likes the direction of the Yankees and doesn't even think the ballclub has hit its stride yet. Cole made the remarks while serving as a guest analyst on the YES Network broadcast during the Yankees' 4-0 loss to the Angels on Tuesday night. The Yankees ace is out for the entire season after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March , but remained bullish on his team when asked about what he thought of the 2025 version of the Bronx Bombers, despite the Yankees extending their losing skid to five games — including three straight shutout losses. “… I think the balance of the club is great…so far so good, and our best baseball's ahead of us in my opinion.” – Gerrit Cole on the 2025 Yankees. 6/16/25 | Yankees' Gerrit Cole Returning to Yankee Stadium. New York Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole is out for the entirety of the 2025 season as he recovers from a torn UCL and Tommy John surgery: but that doesn't mean he's out of Yankee Stadium. According to a post by Talkin' Yanks Podcast on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, Cole will have "significant time" broadcasting during Tuesday's outing against the Los Angeles Angels. While Cole's appearance had been announced days earlier, YES broadcaster Michael Kay revealed Sunday night that the Cole will be featured heavily.
