Among their issues has been Giancarlo Stanton, who has missed the entire season so far due to an injury to both elbows. Feeling better by the day but still not close to beginning his season, Giancarlo Stanton was in uniform Thursday night watching the Yankees' 6-3 win over the Rays from the third base dugout at Steinbrenner Field. Stanton had to be impressed seeing the Yankees' fill-in designated hitter have five more very high quality at-bats. Stanton got to see Rice ground a single to right in the first inning, lace an opposite-field single to left in the third, double to right in the fifth, line a two-run single to left in the sixth and hit the ball 107 mph when he grounded out to first base in his last at-bat.
