The Seattle Mariners have one of the best farm systems in baseball, but they got some disappointing news on Wednesday, as infielder Felnin Celesten is no longer ranked in the Top 100, according to Baseball America. The national outlet posted its July update and they are no longer as high on Celesten, who is currently playing for Single-A Modesto. There are now eight Mariners players in the Top 100, including Cole Young, Colt Emerson, Lazaro Montes, Harry Ford, Jurrangelo Cijtnje, Michael Arroyo, Jonny Farmelo and Ryan Sloan. The bottom third of the lineup has been ever-changing and ever-volatile for the Seattle Mariners this season. Injuries and inconsistencies have prevented the Mariners from getting consistent contributions from the No. 7-9 hitters in the order, which has made what Cole Young's been doing recently that much more impressive. As of Wednesday, the rookie second baseman has recorded a base hit in eight of his last 10 games. Young has hit .323 (11-for-34) with four runs, a double and an RBI in that stretch.
