4/02/24 Alec Marsh throws 7 dominant innings, Maikel Garcia has 3 RBIs to lead Royals past Orioles 4-1. Alec Marsh pitched seven innings of two-hit ball, Maikel Garcia drove in three runs and the Kansas City Royals breezed past the Baltimore Orioles 4-1 on a wet, chilly night at Camden Yards. Marsh turned in the best performance of his budding career, dominating the defending AL East champions Tuesday night with an exceptional display of control. He struck out five, walked one and retired the side in order five times. Now in his second season, Marsh previously hadn’t gone more than six innings and never allowed fewer than three hits in any outing longer than an inning. In this one, he threw 72 pitches, only 18 of which were called balls.

4/02/24 Fifth starters face off as Royals oppose Orioles. Kansas City right-hander Alec Marsh will open his second season hoping to start better than he did during his rookie campaign. This spring he was 0-2 with a 3.57 ERA in 17 2/3 innings. Marsh was chosen over 33-year-old Jordan Lyles for the No. 5 spot in the Kansas City rotation. "It was a competition," manager Matt Quatraro said.

9/24/23 Royals blast off against Astros early, hang on late, complete sweep 6-5. Alec Marsh appeared as the bulkman today after I predicted it would be Jonathan Bowlan and Anthony Veneziano. Marsh had last pitched on Tuesday, so I had assumed the Royals would want to give him the same five days of rest everyone had been getting lately. It sure would be wild if the Royals recalled both pitchers and then didn't ever get them in a game. The game didn't start great for the Royals as they went down in order and opener Steven Cruz gave up a run in the first inning.

9/02/23 Royals vs. Red Sox Saturday game thread. Ned Yost won and lost more games than anyone in Royals history. He helmed the club from 2010 until 2019, winning 746 games while losing 839. But he is best remember for the team's magical three-year run from 2013 to 2015, where they won two pennants and a championship. Tonight, Ned will be inducted into the Royals Hall of Fame with pregame ceremonies at 5 p.m. CT with coverage on Bally Sports Kansas City. As for this year's team, the Royals can take the series tonight. Alec Marsh takes the mound, but Nick Loftin, who had two hits in his MLB debut, will sit. Here's how we're taking the field tonight behind Alec Marsh against the Red Sox. #WelcomeToTheCity pic.twitter.com/nccO3hUcdq — Kansas City
