1/19/25 Will Gabriel Moreno Become one of MLB's Best Catchers in 2025?. The Arizona Diamondbacks are lucky enough to hold one of the youngest and most exciting cores of players in MLB. While former Rookie of the Year winner Corbin Carroll may take the spotlight in many discussions, catcher Gabriel Moreno could be the club's most important asset. Originally acquired in a trade from the Blue Jays alongside Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in exchange for Dalton Varsho, Moreno has already shown some of his star potential in the big leagues.

11/22/24 MLB rumors: Diamondbacks' outfield glutton leads to widespread trade interest. The Arizona Diamondbacks are in an enviable position heading into the offseason, with abundant talent in center field generating widespread interest from other teams. During the general managers' meetings earlier this month, Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen acknowledged that teams have been reaching out regarding the availability of his center fielders, highlighting the scarcity of high-quality options at the position across Major League Baseball. “We'll see,” Hazen said, addressing the possibility of a trade. The Diamondbacks currently have three capable center fielders on their roster: Corbin Carroll, Jake McCarthy, and Alek Thomas.

10/20/24 Diamondbacks depth chart check before the offseason. What would the Arizona Diamondbacks' starting lineup look like if they did absolutely nothing this offseason? The D-backs obviously have moves to make to get back to the postseason, but with the World Series starting this week and free agency to follow, this is an opportunity to take stock of the club's base before decisions must be made on whom to retain or add (upcoming free agents and options are covered here). Corbin Carroll leads a young corps that may grow next season, perhaps with top prospect Jordan Lawlar in some capacity. Ketel Marte is fresh off a superstar season and needs to get healthy this winter, while Zac Gallen has one more year under contract to increase the existing urgency.

10/01/24 'It was awful': The Diamondbacks blew a playoff spot, and it stings. Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll watches from the dugout during a game against the New York Yankees. 9/30/24 Diamondbacks manage disappointment of postseason omission. Arizona Diamondbacks players gathered in front of the TVs in the clubhouse, cheering on a New York Mets team that clinched a playoff spot an hour earlier to have enough moxie to upset an Atlanta Braves squad in need of one more win. The vibes shifted from optimism to somber as the predictable outcome occurred, with the Braves holding off the Mets to set up dual celebrations while the Diamondbacks had to stew in what ifs as their season unceremoniously closed. Outfielder Corbin Carroll described the final moments of their playoff hopes as painful to watch. Arizona won 89 games in 2024 — the same number as New York and Atlanta — to continue their year-over-year improvement since the 110-loss disaster in 2021.
