August 4 - The Minnesota Twins placed right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson on the injured list Monday because of an illness and recalled right-hander Darren McCaughan from Triple-A St. Paul. Woods Richardson, 24, is 5-4 with a 4.24 ERA in 17 appearances (16 starts) with the Twins this season. In four seasons with Minnesota, he is 10-10 with a 4.30 ERA in 47 career appearances (45 starts). McCaughan, 29, had a 1.69 ERA in three appearances with the Twins earlier this season.
