The Los Angeles Dodgers placed Dustin May on the 60-day injured list on Thursday in order to make room for Ryan Brasier on the 40-man roster. Brasier's two-year, $9 million contract was made official on the first day Dodgers pitchers and catchers reported to Camelback Ranch for the start of 2024 Spring Training. May also had a Tommy John revision for a Grade 2 sprain of his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). However, his first full season since undergoing Tommy John surgery ended early due to more right elbow trouble. May managed to make just nine starts, the last of which was only one inning on May 17. He had two strikeouts and threw 16 pitches against the Minnesota Twins before leaving because of what the Dodgers initially deemed right elbow pain. May was initially treated with a platelet-rich plasma injection that required him to be shut down from throwing for several weeks.
