7/01/25 | Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen meets Giants, looks to avoid double-digit losses. The head-to-head between NL West rivals began on a low-scoring note when the Diamondbacks recorded single runs in the seventh and eighth innings to prevail 4-2 in what had begun as a stellar pitchers' duel between San Francisco's Logan Webb and Arizona's Ryne Nelson. Gallen has gotten a decision in 14 of his 17 starts, including a loss his last time out in a 7-3 road defeat against the Chicago White Sox in which he allowed five runs in 5 1/3 innings. A 10th loss Tuesday not only would see the right-hander join Antonio Senzatela of the Colorado Rockies and Mitch Keller of the Pittsburgh Pirates as baseball's lone double-figure losers so far this season, but also would equal his career high, set in his 4-10 campaign in 2021. 6/28/25 | 3 sneaky trades Giants must make to boost World Series chances. The San Francisco Giants have burst out of the gate in 2025 with a strong start, but in a loaded NL West, standing pat won't be enough to secure a World Series berth. With a roster that features stars like Logan Webb, Matt Chapman, and Willy Adames, the Giants have the foundation of a contender. However, several areas of need have emerged, most notably at first base, in the outfield, and in the bullpen. To maximize their championship window, here are three sneaky trades the Giants must make to boost their World Series chances. Guys like Logan Webb, Robbie Ray, Camilo Doval, Tyler Rogers and Randy Rodriguez have all had great campaigns and would be deserving of looks. As for the position players, that actually are voted upon, recently acquired star Rafael Devers is in second place for designated hitters with 1,103, 085.
