7/02/25 Giants Superstar Matt Chapman Expected To Return at Crucial Time. The San Francisco Giants carried their ugly stretch to close out June into July, now losing seven of their last eight games. Things at the hot corner went from bad to worse when Christian Koss was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain. Luckily, there is encouraging news on that front with regards to Chapman, something San Francisco could use.

5/14/25 Koss Hits Grand Slam for First Homer in the Majors as Giants Beat Diamondbacks. Christian Koss hit a grand slam for his first home run in the majors, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-6 on Tuesday night to snap a four-game losing streak. Jung Hoo Lee added a three-run drive and Willy Adames had a two-run homer to pace the Giants in their opener of a season-high, nine-game homestand. The 33-year-old left-hander, who pitched for the Diamondbacks from 2015-20, faced his former team for the first time.

5/13/25 Giants use rookie's slam, more homers to blast past Diamondbacks. Rookie Christian Koss hit a grand slam, Jung Hoo Lee and Willy Adames also went deep and the San Francisco Giants overcame a shaky start by unbeaten Robbie Ray to overtake the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks 10-6 on Tuesday night. Ray (6-0) allowed three runs in the top of the first, then no more over the next five innings to join Max Fried of the New York Yankees as the only pitchers to start the season 6-0.

4/25/25 MLB roundup: Giants continue hot start with comeback win vs. Brewers. The Giants continued their surprisingly hot start to the season, as pinch runner Christian Koss scored from third base when left fielder Christian Yelich dropped Willy Adames' flyball to cap a two-run, eighth-inning rally that lifted San Francisco to a 6-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Trailing 5-4 entering the bottom of the eighth, Tyler Fitzgerald scored the game-tying run from third on a Mike Yastrzemski fielder's-choice grounder to third base. Koss advanced to third base on the play and scored the go-ahead run when Yelich dropped Willy Adames' routine liner to left field. The Giants got home runs from Yastrzemski and Matt Chapman as they took three of four in the series to get to 17-9 on

4/24/25 Giants grab late inning comeback win vs. Brewers. Pinch-runner Christian Koss trotted home from third base when left fielder Christian Yelich dropped Willy Adames' flyball to cap a two-run, eighth-inning rally Thursday afternoon that lifted the San Francisco Giants to a 6-5 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Benefitting from two runs scoring on a bunt, the Brewers led 5-2 before watching the Giants score the game's final four runs, including two in the eighth after beginning the inning down by a run. Tyler Fitzgerald began the difference-making uprising by drawing a walk from the Brewers' fifth pitcher, left-hander Tyler Alexander (1-2).

4/01/25 Webb shows off new pitch mix vs. Astros as Giants keep rolling. It's the move for any milestone, from a first hit (which Christian Koss is chasing) to a 100th (Tyler Fitzgerald is one away). It's a way to commemorate big homers, big wins or your 200th double, but the Giants are putting a twist on the tradition this season. Logan Webb had a glass case in his locker after Tuesday's 3-1 win, but if the Giants come out on top again on Wednesday, it won't belong to him anymore. Willy Adames had one, too, but he might not be the owner for long, either.

3/27/25 How Giants newcomer Koss locked up Opening Day roster spot. Christian Koss was 14 years old when Buster Posey hit a grand slam off Cincinnati Reds right-hander Mat Latos in the 2012 NLDS, but he still remembers exactly where he was. Koss was born in Riverside, grew up in Southern California and went to UC Irvine. The family was drawn to the team's colors, and it certainly helped that Koss spent his childhood watching Bonds and then a dynasty.

3/27/25 SF Giants reveal Opening Day roster with one major surprise. Missing the final week in Arizona with a balky back didn't keep centerfielder Jung Hoo Lee off the Giants' Opening Day roster, but in somewhat of a surprise, infielder Christian Koss will be on the bench in Cincinnati instead of outfielder Grant McCray or infielder Brett Wisely. Veteran Sam Huff will open the season as the backup catcher and infielder Casey Schmitt, who is out of options, also made the 26-man roster the Giants released Wednesday night. The Giants will open the season with 13 pitchers and just one left-hander, Erik Miller, in the bullpen.
