2/25/25 Twins' newcomers make a quick impression. Ty France spent this offseason simplifying things in the batter's box, getting back to his roots. Both France and Harrison Bader, whom the Twins signed to one year-deals earlier this month, hit home runs on Tuesday in the Twins' 5-4 win over the New York Yankees at Hammond Stadium. France is trying to rebound after a tough 2024 season at the plate in which his power and production were down. The veteran signed a one-year, non-guaranteed deal with the Twins and figures to factor heavily into their first base plans.

2/19/25 Who will play second for the Twins? It's up for grabs. For much of the offseason, one of the questions surrounding the Twins was “Who's on first?” After signing Ty France earlier this month, that question now has more of a concrete answer. Now, the question is who will be standing next to France on the diamond a majority of the time. “As we sit here right now, we don't have one player that I'm going to say, 'Yeah, the guy is going to get 600 plate appearances over at second base,'” manager Rocco Baldelli said. The contenders include Brooks Lee, Edouard Julien, Willi Castro and even Austin Martin.
