7/18/25 Rangers Updated Prospect Rankings Headlined by Addition of First Rounder Gavin Fien. The Texas Rangers entered the 2025 season with one of the least inspiring farm systems in baseball. Part of that was due to injuries, with highly touted right-handed pitcher Alejandro Rosario, who is currently No. 2 in the team's updated prospect rankings, shared by Kiley McDaniel of ESPN, being out for the season after undergoing elbow surgery. Another top right-handed pitching prospect, Winston Santos, who is No. 4, has made only two appearances thus far in 2025.

3/18/25 Texas Rangers Prospect's Dominant Spring Breakout Performance Wows Expert. The Texas Rangers made a splash at MLB's second annual Spring Breakout event, a showcase for prospects to continue competing at a high level in the middle of spring training. Santos, the No. 5 prospect in the Texas system according to MLB Pipeline, caught the eye of one of the top talent evaluators in the baseball world, The Athletic's Keith Law.

3/15/25 Texas Rangers' arsenal of promising young pitchers show out at Spring Breakout game. The Spring Breakout game is not entirely about competition and results. If it were, Saturday's second installment between the Texas Rangers' top prospects and the San Francisco Giants' wouldn't have ended in a 5-5 tie at Scottsdale Stadium. For the Rangers, who've struggled to develop homegrown pitching since they arrived in Texas more than 50 years ago, it's a chance to show that they're on their way to a bucked trend. The Rangers didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning and the duo of right-handers Winston Santos and Josh Stephan combined for five scoreless frames.
