4/20/25 | Cowboys named fit for Bills RB James Cook in blockbuster trade proposal. The Dallas Cowboys had one of the worst running games in the NFL last season. Had it not been for Rico Dowdle's breakout performance, it might have been one of the worst in league history. While the NFL draft is their most likely source for improvement, Pro Football Network's Sterling Xie says they could go after Buffalo Bills' star James Cook. 4/16/25 | Iowa Standout Lands Mighty Comparison to Former Cowboys Superstar. Iowa Hawkeyes running back Kaleb Johnson has actually developed into one of the more polarizing prospects heading into the NFL Draft. The Cowboys needs a halfback after losing Rico Dowdle to free agency, so it would absolutely make sense for them to scoop up Johnson in the draft. Ironically enough, in a detailed piece where ESPN's Matt Miller ranked all of the prospects in this upcoming class and provided NFL comparisons for each of them, he likened Johnson to former Dallas superstar DeMarco Murray. 4/04/25 | Dallas Cowboys are Obvious Fit for Ohio State Buckeyes Star. Ohio State Buckeyes running back Quinshon Judkins will surely be off the board within the first two days of the NFL Draft later this month, and there is a tiny faction that even believes Judkins could be a first-round pick. Judkins met with the Cowboys this week, which does not come as too much of a surprise given that Dallas desperately needs a halfback after losing Rico Dowdle to free agency. 4/03/25 | NFC South Check-In: Carolina Panthers. Carolina also landed former Ram Christian Rozeboom and former Viking Patrick Jones to add depth at the off-ball and outside linebacker spots, respectively. Jones tallied 7.0 sacks in Minnesota last year and the Panthers need help off the edge after recording the fourth-lowest defensive sack rate in the NFL in 2024. The Panthers did make one notable addition on offense, swiping running back Rico Dowdle off the Cowboys' roster. Dowdle came on strong down the stretch last year and managed to crack the 1,000-yard rushing mark while averaging 4.6 yards per tote. Source: https://www.buccaneers.com/news/nfc-south-check-ca... |
3/27/25 | NFL analyst makes insane prediction for blockbuster Panthers trade. Behind him, they have 1,000-yard rusher Rico Dowdle on a one-year contract. When that contract expires, Jonathon Brooks, last year's second-round pick, will return from a second torn ACL. With a potential contract dispute coming between the Buffalo Bills and James Cook, a trade is certainly plausible. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/nfl-analyst-i... |
