12/21/24 Patriots Running Back Fined For Play That Injured Cardinals Defender. Antonio Gibson made a handful of solid plays in a New England Patriots loss to the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday. The NFL announced Saturday that Gibson was fined $14,805 for unnecessary roughness (use of the helmet) as he tried to pick up blitzing Cardinals linebacker and former Patriot Mack Wilson less than two minutes into the game. Wilson suffered a concussion on the hit from Gibson, who wasn't penalized for the block in the moment, and did not return.
