5/15/24 Chargers News: Joe Hortiz Hesitant on Calling Quentin Johnston WR1. The Los Angeles Chargers did not choose to select a wide receiver with their No. 5 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and instead went with a top-rated offensive lineman prospect from Notre Dame, Joe Alt. The selection wasn't that surprising, as the OL needs to be bolstered to protect quarterback Justin Herbert. Then again, general manager Joe Hortiz was busy securing some veteran talent, especially in recent weeks, as the Chargers signed former Panthers wide receiver D.J. Chark and brought in more receivers for visits.

5/10/24 Is Jim Harbaugh the Quarterback Whisperer the Chargers Have Been Missing?. The Los Angeles Chargers have arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Justin Herbert. Despite his getting injured in 2023, Herbert still put up 3,134 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. Many have criticized Herbert for not showing up in games that truly matter, although he is generally in the top 10 when it comes to sheer stats. With new head coach Jim Harbaugh coming in, he could be the right coach that can truly bring the best out of Harbaugh and the additional quarterbacks on the roster.

5/08/24 What happened to every player drafted ahead of Justin Herbert in 2020 NFL Draft?. It's been four years since the Los Angeles Chargers took Justin Herbert as the sixth overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. While Herbert has yet to lead the Chargers to a postseason victory, you can't ignore that he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Looking back at the draft, let's take a closer look at the careers of the five players who were selected before him, and examine whether they made the right choice passing on Los Angeles' franchise quarterback. The Cincinnati Bengals were in desperate need of a quarterback heading into this draft, and it led to them selecting Joe Burrow with the first overall pick.

5/03/24 Breaking down the Chargers' 2024 UDFA class. The Los Angeles Chargers signed 20 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday. Dane Brugler's 60th ranked quarterback in the 2024 draft class, Bauman began his collegiate career at FCS Montana State, where he was 2-1 as a starter in three seasons.
