The Los Angeles Rams reportedly "appear all-in" on Darrell Henderson Jr. serving as their No. running back for the 2021 NFL season, which could make him a major asset in fantasy football. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Friday that Henderson could be particularly valuable early in the campaign as the Rams attempt to "establish the run to help" new quarterback Matthew Stafford, who typically carried a significant portion of the offensive burden during his time with the Detroit Lions.

8/11/21 4 bold predictions for Rams-Chargers preseason opener. Prediction #1: Jake Funk takes the reins behind Darrell Henderson Since the announcement of Cam Akers’ season ending injury, the Rams have been looking for their number two guy on a roster of inexperienced backs other than Darrell Henderson. Funk and Xavier Jones seem to be the favorites to climb up the depth chart, but after just one preseason game, I predict Funk will begin to take the reins of the second position ... and he’ll debut with 79 rushing yards and a touchdown.

8/04/21 Random Ramsdom: Is Xavier Jones the backup running back to Darrell Henderson?. Since the start of the Los Angeles Rams training camp, it seems that running back Darrell Henderson Jr. will be the starting running back for 2021 after the season ending injury to Cam Akers. The question becomes who would be the backup to take the next biggest load of carries after Henderson. By the look of the rotation on day six of camp, second year RB Xavier Jones appears to be establishing himself as the next man up.

8/03/21 Rams RB Room: Sean McVay Gives Xavier Jones High Praise. For the time being, third-year runner Darrell Henderson will continue to see a majority of the first-team reps. After a strong finish to the 2020 season, he's earned the right to get the first crack. Rams coach Sean McVay could elect to go with a "running back by committee" approach to keep opposing defenses on their toes.

7/31/21 Sean McVay trying to figure out Darrell Henderson’s workload as RB1. Darrell Henderson Jr. will be the starter, but Sean McVay is trying to find a way to keep him fresh and healthy.

7/30/21 Keeping RB Darrell Henderson available is Rams' main concern. When Darrell Henderson found out fellow Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers had torn his Achilles tendon recently, the news hit too close to home. With Akers out for the season, it creates an opportunity for Henderson to become the featured every-down back, something coach Sean McVay believes he is more than capable of doing in his third season. In McVay’s mind, it comes down to making sure Henderson is healthy enough to fill that role.

7/21/21 The Rams have 2 in-house options to consider as Cam Akers replacements. Third-year rusher Darrell Henderson is expected to take over the starting role for Los Angeles, but there is certainly room for other currently-rostered players to carve out roles on the offense. There are two particular candidates that may be in-line for notable promotions this fall. Raymond Calais The lack of preseason in 2020 was detrimental to late-round rookies and players on the backend of NFL rosters.

5/25/21 2020 Rams Recall: A Week 3 loss to the Bills. It was one of the most exciting games of 2020, but not a day that the LA Rams want to remember unless they’re correcting their mistakes of how it started and how it ended. The Rams did a lot of things well in Week 3 — the 478 yards of total offense turned out to be a season-high and Darrell Henderson had a career-high in rushing yards — but also a lot of things wrong. Especially on third-and-long.
