4/29/25 Veteran tackle D.J. Humphries, 49ers agree to one-year NFL free-agent contract, per representatives. The 49ers have agreed to a one-year contract with veteran offensive lineman D.J. Humphries, according to his representation, three days after San Francisco didn't select a tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft. Trent Williams is set to return at left tackle and Colton McKivitz will hold down the right side of the line, but there was a void at swing tackle after Jaylon Moore signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs to protect Patrick Mahomes' blind side.

4/22/25 2025 NFL Draft: Chiefs Round Out All Sides in Recent Mock. The Kansas City Chiefs have done a great job this offseason of recognizing and addressing their positional needs. When they realized the left tackle spot was shaky, they brought in San Francisco 49ers lineman Jaylon Moore first thing in free agency. When they thought their QB, Patrick Mahomes, needed extra help, they re-signed wide receiver Marquise Brown and bolstered the backfield as well. With the 2025 NFL Draft upcoming, Kansas City knows exactly what it still needs to address.

4/22/25 How Chiefs' Andy Reid Feels About This Free Agent Addition. The Kansas City Chiefs, much like the rest of the franchises in the National Football League, are just days away from being on the clock for the 2025 NFL Draft. Although that has caught the media's attention as of late, head coach Andy Reid addressed the media about certain free agent signings. The Chiefs signed nine free agents who weren't on the roster last season, with several returning faces heading back to Kansas City as well. One of the more talked-about free agency additions the franchise made this offseason was signing offensive lineman Jaylon Moore.

Follow on X Email Print Open Extended Reactions KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs have four picks in the top 100 ( eight total ) in the upcoming NFL draft . They are fresh off a third straight Super Bowl appearance and may not have a ton of roster holes. They addressed many of their immediate needs in free agency by signing players like offensive tackle Jaylon Moore , running back Elijah Mitchell and cornerback Kristian Fulton . But there areas, like running back and cornerback, that come to mind where the Chiefs could

4/15/25 Chiefs predicted to nab standout protector for Patrick Mahomes in Vikings blockbuster. One can't help but be a little bit suspicious of the Kansas City Chiefs' plan for the left tackle position in 2025. After using four starters at the position in 2024, the Chiefs gave a two-year, $30 million contract to four-year San Francisco 49ers veteran Jaylon Moore. Of his 55 career appearances, only 12 are starts, including five this past season for an injury-plagued 49ers squad.

4/14/25 Shanahan, Lynch evaluate 49ers' depleted O-line entering big draft. The 49ers will have an opportunity to select an offensive lineman in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft with picks No. 11 and No. 43, but hints from John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have made it appear unlikely. The team lost two starting linemen during free agency, with Aaron Banks signing a four-year contract with the Green Bay Packers worth $77 million and Jaylon Moore, who now is a member of the Kansas City Chiefs after signing a two-year, $30 million contract. The returning starters include Trent Williams at left tackle, Jake Brendel at center, Dominick Puni at right guard and Colton McKivitz at right tackle.

4/13/25 Why the 49ers Seem Likely to Draft Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr.. The 49ers almost have to draft an offensive tackle in Round 1 this year. Because if the 49ers try to sign or trade for a starting offensive tackle, that player most likely will cost at least $15 million per season even if he isn't good. See: Jaylon Moore, the 49ers backup left tackle who recently signed with the Chiefs for $15 million per season.

4/07/25 2025 NFL Draft: Chiefs Cover All Sides in 7-Round Mock. For the Kansas City Chiefs, they must cover all their weak spots before the start of the season in September. Many believe that the Chiefs still lack in the offensive and defensive line departments. It's very reassuring that the Chiefs have already taken the initiative to attack the problem head-on. For example, at the start of free agency, they re-signed offensive guard Trey Smith and brought in Jaylon Moore for support at the left tackle position.

3/30/25 Chiefs Acknowledge Major Concern In Latest Mock Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs added left tackle Jaylon Moore in free agency, but the franchise shouldn't be done fortifying the position.

3/29/25 2025 NFL Draft: What Marcus Mbow Would Bring to Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs remain in a great position roster-wise despite a blowout defeat in their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance. On the offensive front five, the Chiefs are in need of depth and competition. There is no guarantee Jaylon Moore and Kingsley Suamataia are the starting left tackle and guard, respectively. Purdue Boilermakers offensive tackle Marcus Mbow could be a player they target.

3/28/25 2025 NFL Draft: One Name Stands Above the Rest for Chiefs. There have been plenty of NFL mock drafts in preparation for the real thing occurring in April. Every analyst, coach, and fan has their own opinions on which pick will give their team the greatest chance to make it far in the Playoffs and eventually hoist the coveted Lombardi Trophy. Many analysts predict that with the Chiefs' first-round selection (31st overall), they should pick offensive tackle Josh Simmons out of Ohio State. "They signed Jaylon Moore to be the left tackle in free agency, but this kid might have the most upside of any lineman in this draft," Pete Prisco wrote as a part of his most recent CBS Sports mock.

3/27/25 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs Invest in Star OL. The Kansas City Chiefs addressed one of their most pressing needs in free agency by resigning Trey Smith and signing Jaylon Moore out of free agency. The Chiefs have done a good job in free agency, earning them an average grade, but with less than a month remaining until the NFL draft, they'll have one more chance to address their most pressing need through the draft.

3/24/25 Ranking the Chiefs Following Early Offseason Moves. The Kansas City Chiefs entered the offseason needing to improve in several areas. After early offseason moves, Eric Edholm of NFL.com ranked each team in the league. "The Chiefs wasted no time addressing their perceived biggest need at left tackle, signing ex-49erJaylon Moore, although it's fair to ask if Moore is indeed the answer there, given that he's played a little less than a full season of snaps (827) over four years in the NFL," Edholm said. The good news is that most of those snaps were at left tackle, and he played well down the stretch for San Francisco in place of the injured Trent Williams, which helps the projection.

3/20/25 Chiefs Boost Defense With National Champion In Latest Mock. The Kansas City Chiefs entered the 2025 offseason with some clear question marks on their roster. The Chiefs signed Jaylon Moore to a two-year deal and franchise-tagged Trey Smith to address the trenches, while they retained Hollywood Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Not many groundbreaking moves, but the Chiefs have at least been active at the positions. The Chiefs could be looking to add another first-round pass-rusher instead of a veteran, which they did in 2022 and 2023 with George Karlfaftis and Felix Anudike-Uzomah.

3/19/25 2025 NFL Draft: Chiefs Mocked Rising Star. It was clear what the Kansas City Chiefs need this offseason after the way they ended their season. The Chiefs made some moves right away. The Chiefs went out and got a young left tackle in Jaylon Moore, for starters. Moore has not been a starter in the NFL but he was learning from one of the best left tackles in history in Trent Williams.

3/18/25 The 49ers' Primary Need Entering the 2025 NFL Draft. The 49ers have tons of needs, but which one is most dire? The 49ers could use another offensive tackle considering Jaylon Moore just signed with the Chiefs, Colton McKivitz is entering the final season of his contract and Trent Williams is turning 37 in July.

3/16/25 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs Take Tight End. The Kansas City Chiefs have done a good job of addressing their needs in free agency. While also bringing in new talent that helps them out, like Jaylon Moore or Gardner Minshew. The Chiefs have the 31st pick in the upcoming draft, and it's hard to plan out who they'll take with their pick.
