4/28/25 Raiders rookie wide receiver draws lofty comparison alongside path to big role. The Las Vegas Raiders badly needed to fortify their wide receiver room in the 2025 NFL Draft. In the second round with the No. 58 overall pick, the Raiders took their first dip into the wide receiver pool by selecting Jack Bech. With only Jakobi Meyers standing out in the Raiders' current wide receiver pecking order, opportunity is knocking for the newest players on the team.

4/22/25 Star WR for Geno Smith falls into Raiders' lap at the perfect time. The Las Vegas Raiders entered this offseason with some of the most glaring needs in the entire league. Smith already has several great options to throw to, like wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brock Bowers, but the Raiders could greatly benefit from adding more offensive firepower. Many believe that a speedy wideout is the missing piece to fully unlock the potential of the offense.

4/21/25 Is WR Most Important Position for Raiders to Address?. It's no secret that the Las Vegas Raiders must improve their wide receiver room through the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders' current wide receiver room consists of Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Kristian Wilkerson, Kyle Philips, Tyreik McAllister, Ramel Keyton, Shedrick Jackson, Jeff Foreman, and Alex Bachman.

4/20/25 Mark Daniels: Patriots should draft Will Campbell at No. 4. During the 2019 NFL Combine, I spoke with an NFL general manager, and he told me the brutal truth – no one knows what prospects will be great. Every year we see it when an undrafted free agent turns out to be better than a first-round pick. Jakobi Meyers, and his slow 40-yard dash time, is a great example. When the undrafted free agent entered Patriots training camp in 2019, it was obvious he was better than the team's first-round pick, N'Keal Harry.

4/15/25 Raiders predicted to finally sign $80 million former Pro Bowl wide receiver in free agency. The Las Vegas Raiders have yet to address the wide receiver position this offseason. Outside of Jakobi Meyers, the team lacked reliable production in the receiver room in 2024, and general manager John Spytek should look to add another playmaker for quarterback Geno Smith. The 2025 NFL Draft is filled with exciting and talented pass-catchers, but Pro Football Network's Mark Stolte predicts the Raiders will sign Chicago Bears free agent wide receiver Keenan Allen to pair with Meyers and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers.

4/15/25 Jakobi Meyers heads into final year of contract, could seek new deal with Raiders. Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers had the best season of his career last year, with 87 catches for 1,027 yards.

4/13/25 Raiders insider offers update on Las Vegas' pursuit of wide receiver Hunter Renfrow. The Las Vegas Raiders need to add more help in the wide receivers room this offseason. As currently constructed, the Raiders have a solid No. 2 wideout in Jakobi Meyers and a depth piece in Tre Tucker, but not much else. Tight end Brock Bowers remains the team's most talented pass-catcher. Las Vegas needs a No. 1 wide receiver for quarterback Geno Smith, but also more depth.

4/12/25 Which WRs in the Draft Best Fit with Raiders?. The Las Vegas Raiders will undoubtedly seek wide receiver help in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Raiders' passing numbers weren't poor on paper last season, but they should look to add more young talent to their receiver room. Currently, Jakobi Meyers and tight end Brock Bowers are the only true threats in Las Vegas' offense. This wide receiver class does not have many bona fide No. 1 star pass-catchers, but it has plenty of players who can be major contributors.

4/11/25 Raiders blockbuster trade pitch lands $90 million 5-time All-Pro receiver for Geno Smith. The Las Vegas Raiders still have a desperate need at wide receiver, as the team lacks high-end talent and consistent production at the position outside of Jakobi Meyers and finding quarterback Geno Smith another reliable playmaker must be a top priority. Las Vegas could look to address the issue in the draft, but Sportsnaut's Andrew Buller-Russ also believes the Raiders are a potential landing spot for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

4/04/25 Proposed Raiders trade package for $90M superstar includes wide receiver, pick swaps. Las Vegas has a strong No. 2 option in Jakobi Meyers, but the team doesn't have a No. 1, and the Raiders are lacking depth, also. If the Raiders want Geno Smith to succeed, something has to change. There are still some good players left in free agency, and the Raiders could also opt to draft a wide receiver with their slew of picks.

4/04/25 Raiders predicted to trade for additional Round 1 pick, select dynamic receiver for Geno Smith. The Las Vegas Raiders should look to address their need for a wide receiver in the 2025 NFL Draft, as the team lacks starting-caliber players at the position outside of Jakobi Meyers, and quarterback Geno Smith could use another receiving option. Las Vegas could spend the No.6 overall pick on a receiver, but ESPN's Fields Yates predicts the Raiders will trade back into the first round with the Kansas City Chiefs to select Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III.

3/30/25 Former Raider Calls Jakobi Meyer Most Underrated NFL Player. One player that has been flying under the radar since becoming a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, is wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. Meyers has been a great addition for the Raiders since coming over from the New England Patriots. Meyers has put on good back-to-back season with the Silver and Black. In 2023, he had 807 yards, eight touchdowns, and an average of just over 11 yards per catch.

3/29/25 Raiders predicted to sign $8 million speedy wide receiver to pair with Jakobi Meyers. The Las Vegas Raiders still have a few pressing needs that can be addressed through free agency, including wide receiver. The team lacks high-end talent and production in the position group outside of Jakobi Meyers and must find another playmaker for quarterback Geno Smith. The wide receiver market only has a few impact players left, and Bleacher Report's Moe Moton believes the Raiders should look to sign Cleveland Browns free agent receiver Elijah Moore.

3/24/25 Trade Proposal Has New England Landing Raiders Wide Receiver. A new trade proposal has the New England Patriots trading for their former homegrown receiver, current Las Vegas Raiders wideout Jakobi Meyers.

3/23/25 Proposed Raiders trade adds dynamic $6 million receiver to Chip Kelly's offense. Despite having an active offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders have a few glaring needs on the roster that must be addressed, including wide receiver. Outside of Jakobi Meyers, the team doesn't have a starting-caliber player at the position and must continue adding talent to help quarterback Geno Smith. The free agent wide receiver market is still filled with a couple of veterans who could make an impact, but Sportsnaut's Moe Moton predicts general manager John Spytek will add another playmaker by trading for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce.

3/20/25 Raiders named best fit for former rival WR. The Las Vegas Raiders have been relatively quiet in free agency this year but they still have some very big needs. One of the biggest needs is at wide receiver. Jakobi Meyers is very good but he's better-suited to be a No. 2 option. Tight end Brock Bowers is the likely No. 1 option for the passing offense but the team still needs a wide receiver who can make plays.

3/18/25 Latest Tre Tucker stat is concerning for Raiders WR room. The Las Vegas Raiders were an absolute mess on offense last season under head coach Antonio Pierce and offensive coordinators Luke Getsy and Scott Turner. Sub-par quarterback play and the worst rushing attack in the NFL were the main reasons why the offense could not reliably move the ball or score in 2024, but there were a handful of other issues as well. Center Andre James underperformed to begin the year and was eventually replaced by rookie Jackson Powers-Johnson, who slid over from guard. The team also needed another solid wide receiver next to Jakobi Meyers after Davante Adams was traded, but it seemed like nobody really stepped up for the Silver and Black.

3/17/25 Geno Smith workout video stirs far too-easy Raiders free agent speculation. With the first week of free agency in the books, the Las Vegas Raiders still have some work to do to fill holes in the roster. The Raiders have an undeniable void at wide receiver, with Jakobi Meyers the only proven commodity there and he's not a proverbial WR1. Any possible pursuit of DK Metcalf before he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers never really seemed to get much actual traction. The options in free agency have of course thinned quite a bit, but a signing would seem likely.

3/15/25 Raiders free agent proposal lands $100 million 5-time Pro Bowl playmaker. The Las Vegas Raiders must upgrade their wide receiver room, as the team doesn't have a starting-caliber player in the position group outside of Jakobi Meyers and hasn't addressed the pressing need in free agency. General manager John Spytek could wait for April's draft to add another playmaker, but Bleacher Report's Paul Kasabian believes the Raiders should sign Buffalo Bills free agent wide receiver Amari Cooper.

3/13/25 The Raiders Should Target Former AFC Rival in Free Agency. Jakobi Meyers did a solid enough job for them last year, but they need more wide receivers that can be productive. Another day passed in free agency, and more wide receivers are now off the market for them to target. Players like Jalen Reagor or veterans like Marquez Valdes-Scantling are not available anymore, and if the Raiders don't act soon, they'll find that they ran out of time.
