7/01/25 Was Raheem Right About His Pro Bowl Comments?. Raheem Mostert clearly feels some resentment toward the Miami Dolphins, which is understandable considering they released him this offseason a year removed from a Pro Bowl season. For those not aware, Mostert basically said the Dolphins treat their Pro Bowl players like dirt, although in spicier language. First off, let's point out that Smith made the Pro Bowl as an alternate, though we'd like that slide for the sake of argument.

6/30/25 Ex-Dolphin Raheem Mostert rips team following trade of Jalen Ramsey, Jonnu Smith: 'Be a Pro-Bowler, get treated like s***'. Mostert appears to be displeased with how his own Dolphins tenure concluded.

6/24/25 What Will Raiders' RB Depth Look like?. The Las Vegas Raiders made significant upgrades at running back this offseason. The Raiders were last in the league in rushing yards per game and expected points added per rush. You cannot have an effective offense without a good run game, and new head coach Pete Carroll and General Manager John Spytek knew that. The team drafted Ashton Jeanty with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and signed veteran Raheem Mostert to back him up.

6/19/25 Raiders insider makes stunning pick for Las Vegas' offseason MVP. Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll made it clear the team isn't going to rely solely on running back Ashton Jeanty in 2025. The team brought in veteran Raheem Mostert, who is expected to be the main back behind the rookie. When asked for his opinion about which Raiders player was the team's MVP during the offseason, Sports Illustrated's Hondo Carpenter mentioned running back Sincere McCormick. “I was asked the other day on a national show, and somebody said 'Who do you think was the offensive MVP… for the Raiders this offseason?'” Carpenter said on the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast.

6/16/25 Pete Carroll is already making an Ashton Jeanty gamble (but don't panic yet). Perhaps the worst-kept secret of the offseason was that the Las Vegas Raiders were going to make a major change at running back. After managing a league-worst 79.8 rushing yards per game last season, they could not justify keeping things the same. New general manager John Spytek started revamping the room with the addition of veteran Raheem Mostert in free agency. Mostert already has a rapport with new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, but he is far from a workhorse back at this juncture in his career.

6/06/25 Ashton Jeanty workhorse role not a certainty after all. The Las Vegas Raiders went all in on Ashton Jeanty, selecting the former Boise State running back sixth overall in the 2025 draft. While there are some huge expectations for Jeanty in his rookie season, another Raiders running back could carve out a role in the offense. Las Vegas signed veteran rusher Raheem Mostert to a one-year deal this offseason.

6/04/25 Raiders' Raheem Mostert still showing love for Panthers amid Stanley Cup Final. Las Vegas Raiders running back Raheem Mostert was showing love to the Florida Panthers over social media during the Stanley Cup Final. The ex-Pro Bowler is no longer in the city of Miami, but still clearly has a favorite hockey team. The Panthers are trying to repeat as champs this season in a Cup rematch against the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers are looking for revenge and attempting to become the first Canadian team since 1993 to win it all.

5/31/25 Raiders predicted to sign former All-Pro running back to pair with Ashton Jeanty. The Las Vegas Raiders used their first-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft on a dynamic playmaker, as the team added running back Ashton Jeanty with the No.6 overall pick. Raheem Mostert is slated to be the Raiders' No.2 running back, and though the veteran does provide some juice, he hasn't been able to stay healthy for the majority of his career.

5/22/25 How will the Dolphins deploy their new-look backfield in 2025?. After parting with Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson this offseason, the Dolphins are turning over a new leaf in the backfield.

5/10/25 Raiders might be desperate enough to bring in former villain fans never expected. The Las Vegas Raiders were plagued by poor quarterback play last season. New general manager John Spytek remedied that to an extent this offseason, adding Raheem Mostert and rookie Ashton Jeanty at running back, and drafting three wide receivers during the 2025 NFL Draft. With a quarterback like Geno Smith under center, it could behoove the team to add another veteran wideout next to Jakobi Meyers instead of relying almost solely on rookies. The team opted to save money this offseason instead of spending big on a player like Stefon Diggs, which left them with the middle or aging tier of remaining free agents.

5/09/25 Raiders predicted to sign former Giants 56-game starter for more guard depth. It's been a positive offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders, who have done a fine job of adding talent to a depleted roster. In free agency, the team added players like safety Jeremy Chinn, linebacker Elandon Roberts, and running back Raheem Mostert. The team also traded for veteran quarterback Geno Smith, who should immediately raise the floor of the offense. Then, in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Raiders added one of the top overall talents in running back Ashton Jeanty in the first round.

4/15/25 Trade proposal lands Raiders an absolute non-solution to fix rushing attack. The Las Vegas Raiders had the NFL's worst rushing attack by a noticeable margin last season (79.8 yards per game). Head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly will surely fix that immediately, however it ultimately looks in 2025. Signing Raheem Mostert is not enough. It's easy to tie Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty to Raiders with the sixth overall pick in the draft.

4/10/25 NFL trade proposal pairs Tyreek Hill with $136 million superstar wide receiver. As McDaniel and general manager Chris Grier try to prepare for the upcoming season, they'll need to find a way to break through as contenders in the conference and sustain success once they do so. With Miami already losing key pieces like safety Jevon Holland, offensive tackle Terron Armstead and running back Raheem Mostert, the team may look to take a step back in 2025 to retool for the future.

4/03/25 Raiders reportedly made unsurprising effort to trade for a star running back. As the Las Vegas Raiders look to fix the league's worst rushing attack from last season, signing Raheem Mostert is not enough. Which is why it's so easy to tie them to Ashton Jeanty with the sixth overall pick in the draft, to the point it's feeling possible they pass on him and wait to draft a running back from a deep class at the position. It's also fair to say the Raiders are in a shade of win-now mode with Pete Carroll as head coach. The Raiders should broadly be leaving no stones unturned this offseason in an effort to add talent, up to and including more trades to add veterans if it makes sense.

4/03/25 Raiders Should Consider Late-Round RB. After signing veteran running back Raheem Mostert, the franchise will look to improve from where the franchise ranked last season among the NFL in the running game. Lucky for the Raiders, the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft is filled with talented running back options to decide from.

4/02/25 Raiders predicted to improve running backs room with $8 million breakout star. Fresh off a season in which the Las Vegas Raiders finished with the worst rushing attack in the NFL, the team needs to bolster the position. The Raiders did sign Raheem Mostert, but he's hardly an adequate solution for the team's starting job. Las Vegas also has Zamir White, Dylan Laube and Sincere McCormick, but White was bad last season and the other two are unproven. While many expect the Raiders to address the position in the 2025 NFL Draft, Las Vegas might want to add another veteran to the room just in case.

3/31/25 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Bolster Offensive Line. The Las Vegas Raiders are slated to continue improving their team by drafting a playmaker with the sixth overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft. With them being so high in the draft, they have many players to choose from. The player they are most linked to before the NFL draft is Ashton Jeanty, which makes the most sense as he's most likely not getting picked in the top five, and he'd be the next-best prospect available. Jeanty fits the bill as a playmaker and would revolutionize their ground game alongside free agent acquisition veteran running back Raheem Mostert, forming a solid running back duo that will be leagues better than last year's run game.

3/31/25 What is Mostert's Ceiling With the Raiders?. The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year deal out of free agency. This move is done in hopes of revamping their ground game and pushing them closer to a playoff spot next season. What are realistic expectations for the soon-to-be 33-year-old running back? The best year of his career wasn't too long ago, as 2023 was a perfect storm of opportunity and health for Mostert.

3/30/25 PODCAST: Las Vegas Raiders Insider on the Dynamics of the NFL Draft. LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Raiders can do just about anything with their No. 6 pick. They can attempt to trade up, they can trade down for draft capital, or they could fill a multitude of positional needs with a selection. In this episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast, our Hondo Carpenter and the Spun's Matt Hladik dive into the complexities of the Raiders' upcoming draft decisions. You can watch that entire podcast below: Recently, new Raiders RB Raheem Mostert spoke at the team's headquarters. Below is a partial transcript of that press conference. 3/28/25 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders Make Obvious Choice with RB. The Las Vegas Raiders and Ashton Jeanty have been linked across many mock drafts; he is the most mocked player to them in the draft. At this point, it almost feels like a guarantee that he'll be rocking the Silver and Black next season for his NFL debut. Raheem Mostert's signing isn't going to be enough to revamp their rushing attack completely. It just feels like such an easy choice to make, the only way I don't see it happening is if Shedeur Sanders falls out of the top five, in which case it would make sense to target Sanders as their potential franchise quarterback.
