4/21/25 | Giants have their eyes on one QB in NFL Draft that might require big trade. The New York Giants' desire for Shedeur Sanders is a thing of the past. But that doesn't mean they don't want a quarterback in this week's NFL Draft. In fact, SNY's Connor Hughes reports that the Giants might be willing to make a trade to get one. The Giants' first pick of the draft comes at No. 3 overall, where they are more likely to take a skill position star like Abdul Carter. But that's when things get interesting. Hughes reports the Giants might trade back into the first round with one specific target in mind: Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart. "Jaxson Dart is a name to watch for the Giants as a trade-up option on Thursday," Hughes writes. 3/27/25 | Jets star predicted to earn $109 million in impending contract extension. The New York Jets have a rising star due for a pay raise. After three seasons in the NFL, players can sign giant contract extensions. For the Jets, one of those candidates is cornerback Sauce Gardner. SNY's Connor Hughes "expects" contract talks to start soon with Gardner, who is eligible for an extension. "It's absolutely possible," Hughes said recently of Gardner getting paid. Gardner is due for a nine-digit deal that would make him the highest-paid cornerback in football. Contracts website Spotrac projects Gardner to get an average annual value of $21.7 million per year over five seasons, for a total of $109.1 million. 1/22/25 | Rams' Nick Caley is on Aaron Glenn's radar as potential Jets offensive coordinator. The Los Angeles Rams have made it through the first wave of the hiring cycle flying mostly under the radar. For a team that's had assistant coaches hired away from Sean McVay annually, it's a welcome change. Members of McVay's staff can (and probably) will draw interest from head coaches who are filling out their own groups, and Nick Caley is one name to watch. According to Connor Hughes of SNY, Rams tight ends coach and pass game coordinator Nick Caley is one of two coaches that new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has talked to about his offensive coordinator position. 1/09/25 | Jets Predicted To Land Highly-Coveted Lions Assistant As Head Coach For 2025. It's a new year, and the New York Jets find themselves in the unenviable position of resolving to find a new head coach to turn their fortunes around. The Jets have had eight head coaches this century, counting interim coach Jeff Ulbrich, who filled in this season for the fired Robert Saleh. With uncertainty clouding the situation at quarterback and no general manager, the Jets job may not be the most attractive opening of the six current head coaching vacancies around the NFL. Earlier this week, SNY Jets insider Connor Hughes predicted that New York would land current Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who was also a fantastic cornerback for the Jets from 1994-2001, as their next head coach.
