9/07/25 NY Giants Offense Flatlines in 21-6 Loss to Commanders. In a game where the opposition's defensive front thoroughly dominated the offensive line, the New York Giants mustered just two Graham Gano field goals as they fell to the Washington Commanders 21-6 in the 2025 season-opening matchup. The defeat was the Giants' third straight to the Commanders, dating back to last season, and their second time in three tries that they scored zero touchdowns and multiple field goals in a losing effort against Washington. When the Giants' offense wasn't struggling to protect its quarterback, they were providing limited rushing lanes for its three running backs.

8/18/25 NY Giants Unit Review: How Are Bottom of the Roster Players Faring on Special Teams?. Special teams usually don't get the love the unit should get, as it's often lost in the glamour of the offense and defense, but the other third of the game is not only important in terms of starting field position. When it comes to the preseason, bottom-of-the-roster players need to excel, as they seek jobs in the NFL. To that end, the Giants have several intriguing players who are trying to add special teams to their repertoire and make it hard for the coaches to part with them. Finally, the coaches did the smart thing with Graham Gano and sat him down for this talented young placekicker to see what he's got, at least in preseason.

8/09/25 Bills fall to Giants 34-25 in first preseason outing. Buffalo's defense stifled the Giants offensive attack and held them to a field goal, scored by Graham Gano from 53 yards out. That would be the only score of the first quarter as the game was off to a slow start.

8/07/25 Graham Gano Looking Like the Gano of Old, Says Coach. It's been a difficult two-year stretch for New York Giants kicker Graham Gano, who has had to deal with knee and hamstring injuries that not only cost him part of the last two seasons, but appeared to affect his leg strength, particularly on long field goals of 40+ yards in which he converted 70% of those attempts over that span. “Yeah, from what I've seen Graham has looked, I thought he played his best ball towards the back quarter of the season,” Ghobiral said. Gano, upon returning from IR last year, only missed one field goal attempt.

7/30/25 NFL reacts to the shooting at the league office building that killed 4 people. Graham Gano stayed late at the New York Giants' practice facility Monday watching news coverage of a gunman killing four people at a Manhattan office building that includes the NFL headquarters. "I was praying for just whoever was involved immediately," said Gano, a veteran kicker and the Giants' union representative. "It's sad to see no matter who it is, league office or not." Gano, fellow players, coaches and others learned Tuesday that the target was the NFL itself, Mayor Eric Adams said, with the shooter picking the wrong elevator bank and getting off on a different floor.

7/08/25 Why NY Giants K Graham Gano Will Improve His 2025 Field Goal Percentage. While it might seem like solid NFL kickers are a dime a dozen in the modern game, where most can hit from incredible ranges, it is even harder to find one that can be clutch year in and year out for as long as New York Giants kicker Graham Gano has in his 16-year career. From his days in Carolina to when he joined the Giants in 2020, the 38-year-old leg has seemingly defied the laws of aging to become one of the most reliable options as a grizzled veteran. Daring back to his rookie season with the Washington Redskins in 2009, Gano has appeared in at least 16 games 10 times, including eight consecutive seasons from 2013 to 2022. Most Giants fans won't forget when Gano nailed a ridiculous game winner from 63 yards out, his current career-high, for the Panthers back in the 2018 season when Carolina beat New York in a 33-31 thriller on the road.

6/21/25 Will Jude McAtamney Challenge Graham Gano for the NY Giants Kicking Job?. The New York Giants have been avoiding it, but the reality at kicker is that they may need to look to the future sooner rather than later. Over the last few seasons, incumbent kicker Graham Gano has dealt with injuries, and at 38 years old, he is unlikely to reverse the clock. Last season, the team picked up Rutgers kicker Jude McAtamney as an undrafted free agent to give the team a look at a possible future replacement for Gano. The Derry, Ireland native got his feet wet in Gaelic football, where he was the “free taker” for the Derry U20's team in the Gaelic Athletic Association before coming to the states and kicking for Chowan University, a division two program in North Carolina for a season.

6/14/25 Giants may cut ties with Pro Bowl veteran in favor of 25-year old international star. The New York Giants have an unexpected competition on their hands. Veteran kicker Graham Gano, a Pro Bowler in his past, doesn't appear to be totally safe. Pro Football Rumors writer Ely Allen suggests Gano is a cut candidate. If Gano were to be cut, it'd be in favor of Jude McAtamney, who is from Northern Ireland.

6/10/25 New York Giants Training Camp Player Preview: K Graham Gano. For most of his very abundant 16-year NFL career, the name Graham Gano has often been synonymous with two very important words in football—that is, “clutch” and “reliable.” In his first three seasons with the New York Giants, the veteran kicker had been the absolute epitome of those adjectives. In 2023, Gano appeared in just eight contests, his lowest number of games since the 2012 season when he was with the Carolina Panthers, after suffering a knee injury that also dropped his field goal efficiency down to a career-low 64.7%.
