Quick Player Search (enter last name only):

3/10 Aaron Laffey (P-CLE) Laffey pitched two scoreless innings yesterday, and solidified his case to make Cleveland’s opening-day roster. The lefty is competing with three other candidates for the final two spots in the Indians’ rotation. He went 7-9 with a 4.44 ERA in 19 starts last year.

3/10 Jordan Brown (1B/OF-CLE) Brown underwent arthroscopic surgery earlier this week to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Expect him to be out until early May.

3/10 Roy Halladay (P-PHI) Roy Halladay had a second solid performance and looks to be ready for the season to start. Halladay pitched 3 innings and allowed only 3 hits while striking out 5 to keep his ERA at 0.00 on the spring. I am going to compare Halladay and what he can do for the Phillies to what Greg Maddux did for the Braves when he signed after spending his career with Chicago...a solid veteran starter who is the ace of the staff.

3/10 Jayson Werth (OF-PHI) Jayson Werth finally broke out of his 0 for spring start Monday night. Werth went 2-3 with a HR, 2 rbi's and 2 runs scored to lead the Phillies. Werth is now batting .222 on the spring.

3/10 Ryan Howard (1B-PHI) Ryan Howard had another solid night and is getting his stroke ready for the season. Howard went 2-4 with a couple runs scored and is now batting .250 this spring.

3/10 Jimmy Rollins (SS-PHI) Jimmy Rollins had another hit and continues to look ready for the season. Rollins went 1-3 with a hard single to raise his batting average to .250 this spring. Rollins should bounce back from last year and is a must draft in all leagues.

3/10 Jay Marshall (P-OAK) The Mets returned Marshall to the A's due to a pre-existing shoulder injury.

3/10 Brandon Webb (P-AZ) Webb played catch on Tuesday. He'll try throwing off a mound soon but his status for Opening Day is in doubt.

3/10 Francisco Rodriguez (P-NYM) Rodriguez is hoping to make his spring debut on Monday.

3/10 Jose Reyes (SS-NYM) Reyes' was diagnosed with only a minor case of thyroid over activity. He will have more blood tests two weeks from now. There is no timetable for his return.
