5/10/05Harris does all he is asked to do, except he has only been asked a few times so far.
5/01/05Harris left the team for personal reasons and was expected back Tuesday. Harris, normally a second baseman, had been slated to make his third straight start at shortstop with Juan Uribe (groin) and Pablo Ozuna (wrist) nursing injuries. Lopez started at shortstop.
4/14/05Harris got a start and proved he sure can hit any pitcher by going 2-3, stealing a base and scoring one run and driving in two teamates, leading off.
9/14/04Harris will see a majority of the starts at second base and will handle the leadoff duties in the final weeks of the season as an audition for next year.

5/21/04Harris took batting practice Thursday but wasn't available for the game because of his left ankle and shin. Harris isn't expected to go on the DL, his comment "I can put a little weight on it now" seems to suggest that he may miss at least a few more days of action.

5/11/04Mgr. Guillen's task is to get at-bats for Harris while keeping Uribe in the lineup as long as he's hot. Harris has lifted his average to .301. Guillen would like to see him steal more bases. Harris leads the Sox with 5, but could be more aggressive.
4/20/04Harris won't have to worry about Juan Uribe for a few weeks because Uribe will be filling in at shortstop for Jose Valentin.
4/10/04Harris matched a career high with three hits.
3/21/04Harris singled and executed a perfect sacrifice bunt, almost beating the throw to first in the process. He then showed some of the range saving a run with a running catch in short right field.
3/10/04Aside from Harris, the Sox don't have much speed in their lineup. Harris said Guillen has given him the green light whenever he feels he can get a jump. "He told me if I get thrown out, who cares? Be aggressive," Harris said. Being aggressive doesn't just mean stealing bases. It means getting good jumps, going from first to third on a base hit, taking the extra base whenever possible and putting pressure on the defense.
