Blalock has already shown signs of turning things around this season with a couple of key hits off left-handers, including a line shot to center off Kenny Rogers on Sunday. It's important that Blalock hit lefties and righties so that opposing pitchers don't simply pitch around Teixeira. When they do, Hank has to make them pay.

5/05/02The day off was not a big deal considering Blalock started the previous six games. But given that the Indians started right-hander Bartolo Colon and Perry was hitting .167 against righties, it's a bit odd.
