3/26/06Perez has been held out of the lineup the last couple of days after getting hit in the face with a foul ball that hit off the plate. The team is just being cautious at this point and the injury is not considered serious.
12/13/05The Dodgers traded Perez and Milton Bradley to Oakland today in exchange for Andre Ethier.
12/08/05Perez has a small fracture in his cheekbone after being hit in the face a couple of weeks ago while playing in the Dominican Republic. He is still expected to be ready in time for the start of spring training.

5/18/05Perez skipped the last day of his Triple-A rehab assignment in order to be available for today's game against the Marlins.
5/18/05Dodgers general manager Paul DePodesta said he expects Perez to arrive in time for Wednesday's 12:10 p.m. game against Florida, even though Las Vegas played last night in Nashville, Tenn. While Perez will play a lot of third base, he probably won't play there every day. "I wouldn't put it that way," DePodesta said. "We have certainly been trying to prepare him at Triple-A for an opportunity up here, and I think he is going to get some opportunities. But I don't know that you can give him that distinction (of being the regular starter)."
5/17/05The Dodgers plan to activate infielder Antonio Perez from the 15-day disabled list as soon as his 20-day, minor-league rehabilitation assignment expires tonight. Perez, who has played just six career games at third base but is primarily playing there at Triple-A Las Vegas, will see considerable time at the position with the Dodgers.
5/05/05Tracy said he wants to see Perez play nine innings for an entire series before recalling him, but then he will be in the mix at third with Valentin out.
5/04/05If Valentin should have to go on the DL, Perez will be called back from his minor-league rehabilitation assignment early because his injured left hamstring appears to be sound.

3/21/01Perez was officially sent to the minors yesterday.
1/17/01Perez has been invited to spring training, and is worth keeping an eye on as he's a dark horse candidate to take the starting SS job now that Alex Rodriguez is gone. To do that, he'd have to make the jump from single-A where he hit .276 with 17 HRs and 28 SBs in 395 ABs.
2000A name to remember for those keeper leagues, Perez looks to have an excellent future. He spent the 2000 season in the minors.
