6/10/10Helton has hit .240 with one homer and just 10 RBIs through 50 games this year. His struggles in the No. 3 hole for most of the season -- he hit sixth his past two games -- and the Rockies' season-long display of inconsistent offense can't be separated. 6/06/10"I don't think I'm searching [for a swing], I'm searching for the ball," said Helton, in a 2-for-23 skid. "My batting practice has been great. In the cage, I've been hitting the ball well. My timing when I get on the field isn't where it needs to be. "That's usually where I've excelled in the past. I've been able to take something from the cage and take it out on the field. It sounds easy, but it's not."

I've been able to play good defense when I've wanted to sulk and cry about my offense -- not sulk and cry, but you know ..."
