| 8/25/25 | How Matt Gage's winding journeyman career through minors, Mexico led him back to SF Giants. Matt Gage wondered if he just wasn't good enough. It was the spring of 2019, and Gage had just finished his second start with Mexico City's Diablos Rojos of the Mexican League. In his first start — Opening Day in the newly built Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú — he gave up five runs and recorded four outs. Gage knew if he didn't perform there, he may have nowhere else to go.
