Crochet (13-4) was sharp after nine days off, allowing two runs on four hits, walking one, and striking out eight. The lefthander took a two-run lead into the seventh inning and allowed an RBI double by Randal Grichuk. Crochet then fell behind Nick Loftin, missing twice with his cutter.
