8/24/25 Blue Jays recall right-hander Schultz, option lefty Fluharty to triple-A Buffalo. The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled right-hander Paxton Schultz from triple-A Buffalo and made him active for the team's series finale against the Miami Marlins on Sunday. In a corresponding move, the team optioned left-hander Mason Fluharty to the minors. Schultz was optioned to Buffalo on Aug. 1 a couple of days after being activated from the 15-game injured list with right middle finger inflammation. The 27-year-old relief pitcher has bounced between the Jays and Buffalo since Toronto selected his contract from Buffalo on April 20.

7/29/25 Blue Jays Make Multiple Crucial Roster Moves Ahead of Doubleheader Game Two. The Toronto Blue Jays have had an exceptional 2025 season so far, and despite a few bumps in the road, they have managed to keep their pace throughout July. As such, the Blue Jays have made two roster moves following their 16-4 loss to the Baltimore Orioles in game one of their Tuesday doubleheader. The moves, as announced by Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, are reliever Paxton Schultz being activated, and southpaw starter Easton Lucas being optioned. Schultz was placed on the 15-day injured list previously due to right middle finger inflammation, and has been working his way back since.

7/18/25 Blue Jays Get Both Positive and Negative Injury Updates Heading Into Second Half. The Toronto Blue Jays are facing a challenge as they battle in a tightly contested American League East division because of the plethora of injury issues they have. The Blue Jays have three starting pitchers still on injured list -- Alex Manoah, Paxton Schultz and Bowden Francis. On the positive side of the update, Schultz is preparing to throw in Triple-A and Manoah will start his next rehabilitation assignment on Sunday with Dunedin where they are aiming for him to pitch two full innings.

The 27-year-old rookie reliever fanned eight Seattle Mariners in his debut outing to etch his name in the franchise and major-league baseball's record books Sunday.
