9/08/25 Rockies' Hunter Goodman named NL player of the week. Hunter Goodman continues to be a shining beacon in the Rockies' otherwise dreary season. The 25-year-old catcher was named the National League player of the week on Monday after slashing .476/.500/1.000 with 10 hits, three home runs and 10 runs batted in over five games last week. Goodman is the second Colorado player to earn the weekly award this season, joining rookie Warming Bernabel, who won the award on Aug. 4. The Rockies (40-103) tied their franchise record for most losses in a season on Sunday after falling to the Padres, 8-1.

The Astros were up by 1 when Kyle Karros singled with one out in the inning.

8/26/25 Rockies Top Prospect Charlie Condon Finally Turning Into Future Star. Hunter Goodman has been an All-Star break out and Ethan Holliday will have the fans excited for years to come after being taken in the first round. As of late, a third thing has been added to the list of things Colorado fans can look forward to. After struggling for most of his professional career, the organization's No. 2 prospect Charlie Condon has begun to shine. Heading into the 2024 draft, the hype around Condon was off the charts.

8/20/25 First Home Run of Rockies Rookie Kyle Karros Might Have Been Assisted by His Dad. The Colorado Rockies are in a fight to avoid making MLB history. The promotions of some notable prospect to pair with rising star catcher Hunter Goodman has made a noticeable difference in the lineup, especially with the return of Ezequiel Tovar off the injured list and Brenton Doyle starting to perform much better. Ryan Ritter, Kyle Karros and Warming Bernabel have injected some energy into the team, with the trio all having notable moments during this stretch of play that was punctuated by the first walk-off hit of Bernabel's big league career.

8/18/25 Rockies' Winning Streak Still Isn't Enough To Escape Last in Power Rankings. The Colorado Rockies have been...winning? Insider with MLB, Will Leitch, just released his latest power rankings and ultimately it comes as no surprise that the Rockies are No. 30. The club WAS on track to have the worst record in the history of baseball, but as of late that is no longer the case. The team has won five of their last six and posted back-to-back series wins led by an offensive showcase from catcher Hunter Goodman and their pitching staff keeping runs off the board.

8/17/25 Rockies Lead MLB in This Stat After Another Incredible Comeback Victory. The Colorado Rockies haven't given their fans much to cheer about this year, but this recent stretch of play has been a lot of fun. Not only did they end their eight-game losing streak with a win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 2 of that set, but the Rockies then turned around and won the finale to walk away with a series victory and bring some momentum to a clubhouse that desperately needed it. Colorado has ridden the wave of that success, winning the last two out of three against the Arizona Diamondbacks to secure themselves at least a split of this four-game set where they can lock up back-to-back series wins with a victory on Sunday. What has been the most fun thing about this stretch is how the Rockies have rallied when facing deficits, overcoming a three-run hole against the Cardinals in the finale on Aug. 13 due to Hunter Goodman's game-winning pinch-hit homer before coming back from a five-run deficit on Saturday.

8/16/25 Rockies Star Hunter Goodman Has Powered Team During Impressive Stretch. The Colorado Rockies (and their fans) have had little to celebrate this year, but if you look at only their last four games they have a 3-1 record and they have a chance to take back-to-back series for the first time this season. The Rockies just returned home to Coors Field after a road stretch where they bounced back after being swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks to win the series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Goodman has been reliable at the plate both on offense and defense.

Hunter Goodman homered while Kyle Karros added two hits and scored once as the Colorado Rockies beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 in Denver on Friday night. 7/28/25 To avoid MLB's worst record ever, Rockies attack stretch run like pennant race. Embarking on a stretch drive like no other, the Colorado Rockies will attack the final two months of this season with a unique laundry list of objectives. Finishing school: All-Star catcher Hunter Goodman wants to sprint through the tape of this year, proving he can sustain an .839 OPS at a position young players often wear down in the second half. Avoiding ignominy: After a 9-50 start buried them in a historic hole, the Rockies have improved to the point they are right on the cut line to break the Chicago White Sox's one-year-old modern record of 121 losses, a “chase” that should come down to the last week of the season. “These next two months, obviously it doesn't look like we're making the postseason this year, but we gotta act like it,” center fielder Mickey Moniak tells USA TODAY Sports.

7/19/25 Rockies Show Unexpected Strength Away from Home Despite Overall Woes. The Colorado Rockies are one of four teams who have won more games on the road than they have at home joining the Washington Nations, the Cleveland Guardians, and the Athletics. The Rockies sit at 23-74 overall and 12 of those wins have came on the road. While 12 road wins at this point on the season on the road is not a great statistic and the Rockies also the worst record in the league, they are still better when they leave Colorado. Hunter Goodman has been the best batter for the Rockies on the year and his slash is significantly better when he is away from Coors Field.

7/12/25 Rockies Land Prep Star in Final MLB Mock Draft of Notable Analyst. The Colorado Rockies have a golden opportunity to add a much-needed foundational building block to their organization in the 2025 MLB draft. Armed with the No. 4 overall pick, the Rockies are going to be adding a high-upside youngster to the mix with hopes of them one day helping the franchise get back on track. There are some solid building blocks, such as catcher Hunter Goodman, shortstop Ezequiel Tovar and starting pitcher Chase Dollander.

7/12/25 Is This Former Major Free Agent Signing the Rockies' Most Forgotten All-Star?. The Colorado Rockies, despite their ineptitude this season, are going to have an All-Star representative because of an MLB rule that requires each team to have at least one player taking part in the showcase event. This year, the Rockies will be represented by catcher Hunter Goodman, who has performed well enough to have gotten consideration for a spot on the National League team even had there not been this rule in place. Through the last few years, that hasn't always been the case for a Colorado squad that hasn't been overly competitive on the field.

7/11/25 Rockies edge Reds in series opener thanks to wild pitch. Hunter Goodman scored the tiebreaking run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning, and the visiting Colorado Rockies edged the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 in the opener of a three-game series Friday night. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Rockies, who are 22-72 and on pace to break the modern record for most losses in a season set last year by the Chicago White Sox. Ryan McMahon hit a two-run homer in the fourth for Colorado, which improved to 3-7 this month and 15-39 under interim manager Warren Schaeffer.

7/10/25 Rockies Need To Use Tradeable Assets To Address 'Evergreen Issue' With Roster. The Colorado Rockies are further away from contending for a playoff spot than any other team in Major League Baseball. On pace to set the record for losses in a single season, which was set by the Chicago White Sox last year with 121, there isn't much to get excited about with the team right now. Perpetually in a rebuild, the Rockies need to do everything in their power to get younger and improve the talent base not only on the Major League roster but the entire organization. Catcher Hunter Goodman has emerged as a legitimate contributor, being named the team's All-Star representative this year.

7/09/25 The most obscure MLB All-Stars ever: World War II fill-ins, a shortstop with a 37 OPS+ and ... this year's Rockies rep. Hunter Goodman just became Colorado's All-Star -- and it's not the first time a player you might have never heard of is playing in the Midsummer Classic.
