7/29/25 Watch: Adolis García keeps Texas Rangers in game against Angels with home run robbery. Adolis García added to his long list of heroic moments in a Rangers uniform Tuesday night. With two outs in the fifth inning, Nolan Schanuel put a charge into a 1-0 Patrick Corbin sinker that left his bat at 101.9 mph and traveled 370 feet. The problem for Schanuel: it traveled 370 feet into García's glove. García got to the wall, timed his leap perfectly and brought Schanuel's blast back to end the inning.

Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter predicts Los Angeles Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel to have a breakout second half of the season after his impressivee first half. The Halos called up Schanuel in 2023 — the same year they drafted him in the first round — and he played his first full season in 2024. Last season he batted exactly league average with a 100 OPS+ and had the highest on-base percentage among qualified Angels. This season he's been even better, now boasting a 113 OPS+ with a slugging percentage of nearly .400, and could vastly improve heading into the second half.

Los Angeles Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel was removed from Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies after being hit by a pitch. Schanuel appeared to take a changeup from Phillies starter Ranger Suarez off the upper wrist or forearm area of his left arm in the first inning. After being checked by a trainer, Schanuel remained in the game.

7/14/25 Angels' Nolan Schanuel Joins Mike Trout in Incredible Statistical History. Los Angeles Angels first baseman Nolan Schanuel joined outfielder Mike Trout in Halos history Saturday, becoming just the second Angels hitter aged 23 or younger to record 10 or more hits in a four-game span. The last Angel, regardless of age, to accomplish this feat is Kevin Pillar, who did it in the 2024 season. The first baseman has gone 11-for-16 at the plate since July 8 against the Texas Rangers, driving in four runs and scoring twice in the process. The Angels drafted Schanuel in the first round of the 2023 MLB draft, and he shot up through the minor league system, spending less than a month in the lower levels before his debut.

The Los Angeles Angels have won four of the last six games since Nolan Schanuel's walk-off walk against the Texas Rangers Monday. After LA squeaked by with a 6-5 win in the series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday, Mike Trout led the Angels' offense to an emphatic victory in Game 2. Trout reminded fans of his raw power by going the opposite way for a two-run homer in the fifth inning, per MLB. After Schanuel led off the inning with a single, Trout jumped on a 91 mph fastball from Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen, driving it 373 feet to right center.

The New York Yankees lost their fourth game in a row on Monday night, getting beaten 1-0 by the Los Angeles Angels at Yankee Stadium. The game remained scoreless until the top of the 11th inning when Nolan Schanuel hit an RBI double. The Angels shut the door in the bottom of the 11th as the Yankees left the bases loaded. New York fell to 42-29 on the season with the loss, and they also were on the wrong side of some rare team history.
