8/31/25 Cardinals miss sweep as Reds snap skid with 7-4 win. Nobody on the Cardinals was happier to see August come to an end than Andre Pallante. Pallante's August ended Sunday the same way it went in all six of his starts in the month – with another loss. Pallante became the first Cardinals pitcher to lose six games in August since Bill Doak lost seven in the month in 1917.

8/27/25 Pallante struggles as Pirates power past Cardinals 8-3. As bad as August already had been for Andre Pallante, it got worse on Tuesday night. Pallante came into his start against the Pirates at Busch Stadium with an 0-4 record for the month, having allowed 17 runs in 17 innings. It took the Cardinals' starter 27 pitches before he recorded his first out as he gave up five hits and a walk to the first six batters he faced. Pallante trailed 5-0 after getting the first out, on a sacrifice fly.

Facebook Twitter Bluesky WhatsApp SMS Email Print Copy article link Save When a pitcher's most-thrown pitch is being hit, it leaves few good options. For Cardinals starter Andre Pallante, his four-seamer plays a big part of his success or failure. Lately, it's been more failure than success. Pallante and the Cardinals go for the series sweep vs. the Marlins on Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. (St. Louis time) in Miami. The Cardinals' bats stayed hot Tuesday for a second-straight night. The right-hander Pallante (6-10, 5.04 ERA) has watched as the effectiveness of his four-seamer, a plus pitch a year ago, has plummeted. Batters have hit .400 or better against it in six of Pallante's last seven outings.

8/17/25 Chisholm homers to help Yankees send Cardinals to their 3rd straight loss 4-3. The Cardinals could not overcome another poor start from Andre Pallante on Friday night. Pallante gave up three runs in the first inning to the Yankees and another in the third that sent New York to the win in the opener of a three-game series at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals pulled within 4-3 with one run in the sixth and two in the seventh but could not push the tying run across the plate as they lost their consecutive game. The Cardinals have won only one of Pallante's last nine starts and in those nine games he has allowed 31 earned runs in 46 1/3 innings, an ERA of 6.02.

7/29/25 How can Andre Pallante turn knack for contact into consistency? Follow the bouncing ball. In the top of the second inning Monday at Busch Stadium against noted ground-ball guru Andre Pallante, a right-handed batter for the Miami Marlins did what few batters do and pulled a pitch from Pallante in the air to deep left field. Out there, as far from the dugout as he's ever been on a baseball field and wearing a glove he borrowed from a teammate, was the Cardinals' opening day catcher and usual designated hitter: Ivan Herrera. “I saw the ball,” Herrera said. Herrera did what coach Jon Jay instructed him to do — go back first, and he did with such certainty that Pallante later said he thought the ball was “30 rows deep.”

7/28/25 Cardinals' Andre Pallante takes a no-hit bid into the 6th inning vs. Marlins. St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Andre Pallante didn’t change his approach, even though he knew what was brewing as the innings rolled by without a hit by the Miami Marlins on Monday night. “Just trying to execute the next pitch I’m throwing and trying to be better at doing my process in between innings,” Pallante said. Graham Pauley broke up Pallante's no-hit bid with a leadoff single in the sixth, and that was the only hit the 26-year-old allowed in seven innings as the Cardinals beat the Marlins 7-1.

7/27/25 Cards look to jumpstart playoff push against Marlins. Pitcher Andre Pallante is still adapting to his new role during his first full season in the St. Louis Cardinals' starting rotation as evidenced by his giving up more runs than he has innings pitched over his last three starts. Pallante (5-7, 4.91 ERA) has shown signs of strain in those three most recent starts, allowing 18 runs (17 earned) on 25 hits and five walks in 15 2/3 innings.

6/27/25 Cardinals' Andre Pallante Analyzes Own Loss Versus Cubs. What went wrong for St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Andre Pallante on Thursday afternoon? Pallante was far from terrible in his sixteenth start of the season, but he wasn't completely himself, either. Reporting for The Athletic on Thursday, Cardinals writer Katie Woo described Pallante's outing. “Pallante clawed through five innings of two-run ball in the St. Louis Cardinals' 3-0 loss in Thursday's series finale against the Chicago Cubs,” Woo wrote.
